HIGHLANDS RANCH — It took three years from concept to creation. Now Highlands Ranch has its own veterans monument.
The monument, which was dedicated Wednesday night, honors all those who have served our country in years past and those who are currently enlisted.
The Highlands Ranch Veterans Monument committee is still selling dedication tiles to pay for the monument. The committee is about $20,000 short of the $200,000 goal, but the Highlands Ranch Metro District Board of Directors advanced funds to get it built.
The monument is at Civic Green Park, off Highlands Ranch Parkway between Lucent and Broadway.
