Durango police chased down a suspected armed bank robber in a yellow Ford Mustang with California license plates this afternoon, the department reported.
Brian Keith Kuykendall, 50, is accused of robbing the Best Western Durango Inn shortly after 3 p.m.
A chase with several law enforcement agencies in pursuit reached speeds of more than 100 mph, before Kuykendall crashed, according to Durango police.
Kuykendall suffered minor injuries. He was booked into the La Plata County jail.
The chase started in Durango, extended through Bayfield and ended in Pagosa Springs.
Police said Kuykendall had an Oklahoma driver’s license.
