FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Rescue crews are continuing to search for a motorcycle rider believed to have fallen into the Cache la Poudre River.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s office says witnesses reported seeing a motorcyclist crash and go under a guardrail into the river Wednesday afternoon. Crews searched until nightfall and continued searching Thursday but have not found the man witnesses say went into the river.

The sheriff’s office says they motorcycle’s owner says his 60-year-old father had borrowed the bike Wednesday.

Sheriff spokeswoman Eloise Campanella says the river’s high water levels has made the search difficult.
