Two births certainly deserve one rebirth. That’s how it will go for Kerri Walsh, left, and Rachel Wacholder on Aug. 6, when the beach volleyball players, who teamed to win two international Grand Slam events in 2004, return from maternity leaves and reunite at the AVP tour stop in Hermosa Beach, Calif. Walsh, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, is turning to Wacholder, a former star at Colorado, because her regular partner, Misty May-Treanor, is injured. “The fact that we have a history together helps,” Walsh said of Wacholder. “We went through this pregnancy and new mommy thing together.” Denver Post wire services
