DEKALB, Ill. — Former Colorado State University Police Chief Dexter Yarbrough, who resigned in March after an internal investigation, is now an officer at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill.
CSU hasn’t released findings of its investigation because they are part of a confidential personnel file. Records obtained by the Coloradoan newspaper in Fort Collins in response to an open- records request show the investigation came after an employee accused Yarbrough of sexual harassment.
Yarbrough declined to comment on those issues to the DeKalb Daily Chronicle.
NIU Police Chief Donald Grady said Yarbrough passed various requirements, tests and background checks, and has no arrest record, no criminal history and no traffic violations.
