COLORADO SPRINGS — With the nearest veterans cemetery 70 to 80 miles from Colorado Springs, Sen. Michael Bennet says he’s pushing for a final resting place for Pikes Peak region veterans that is convenient for their families. The Colorado Democrat met with military members and their families Saturday in Colorado Springs to update them on a bill moving through Congress for a veterans cemetery in El Paso County.
