The North Face and USA Climbing are inviting Denver residents to a free “Climbing 101” clinic at The North Face retail store at 100 Detroit St. on Saturday. The store will have a rock climbing wall set up outside where climbers can learn basic skills and test gear. A local USA Climbing coach will host a presentation about climbing, fitness, safety tips, proper climbing apparel and the importance of getting outdoors. Kids also will have a chance to meet The North Face Athlete Team member and professional climber Cedar Wright.
