United Airlines has made a $3,000 donation to a music-education program at the request of Canadian musician Dave Carroll, who contends the airline damaged his guitar during a flight last year.
Carroll posted the “United Breaks Guitars” video on YouTube about his experience of trying to get United to pay for the damage.
The donation was to the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz, which provides music education for kids.
