We thought we’d hear from Harry Potter fans, but our e-mail box was loaded with “abracadabra” references when we asked readers to write about magic. References to the wonders of the natural world also were popular, and we liked what Jasper Edwards of Denver, winner of The Denver Post’s $25 Haiku contest, wrote:
