Kebabs are great for cheaper cuts like top round. Marinate the meat for at least four hours to maximize tenderness. Makes 4 kebabs.
Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, quartered
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pound steak, your favorite cut, cut into large cubes
- A few cremini mushrooms
- Cherry tomatoes
- Day-old bread, cubed, tossed with a drizzle of olive oil
Directions
Stir together garlic, onion, olive oil, soy sauce and Worcestershire. Pour over beef (in a sealable plastic zip-close bag or covered glass baking dish) and refrigerate four hours or overnight. Alternate on skewers with mushrooms, tomatoes and bread. Grill until meat is done, about four minutes per side.
