DENVER—Donations to the University of Colorado’s fundraising arm this past fiscal year were down 18 percent from the record $162.5 million collected the previous year.
The CU Foundation said Tuesday it collected $101.3 million in the year ending June 30. Preliminary numbers show donors contributed an extra $33.2 million directly to the school.
The value of the university endowment as of June 30 was $590.1 million, down 18 percent from 2008.
In Durango, the Fort Lewis College Foundation says a higher number of donors helped it raise $2.5 million this fiscal year, up 33 percent from $1.9 million the previous year.
