Ruth Buzzi, one of the doyennes of American comedy, turns 72 on Friday. In honor of one of her most memorable “Laugh-In” characters, Doris Swizzle, we toast Ms. Buzzi with a Rum Swizzle.
Rum Swizzle
From “Mr. Boston Official Bartender’s Guide.” Makes 1 cocktail.
Ingredients
1 ounce lime juice
1 teaspoon superfine sugar
2 ounces club soda
2 dashes bitters
2 ounces light or dark rum
Directions
Put lime juice, sugar/syrup, and club soda into Collins glass. Fill glass with ice and stir. Add bitters and rum. Fill with club soda and serve with a swizzle stick.
