Friends of Emily Norman have created a donation fund to help the uninsured college student facing steep medical bills related to a head-on crash July 16 in Teller County.
Donations can be made to the Help Emmy Recover Fund at any Wells Fargo bank.
Norman, 22, is recovering from severe injuries at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. She is a full-time student studying to become a surgical technician, friends said.
Norman and the driver of the Jeep Cherokee that hit her, James Yocum, 49, were airlifted from the crash site four miles west of Woodland Park to Colorado Springs hospitals.
Both are recovering from the crash, which closed U.S. 24 between Woodland Park and Divide for hours on July 16.
