Aurora police today identified a man fatally shot outside an Aurora bar shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Allen Pounds, 50, was shot multiple times, according to the Adams County Coroner’s Office.

Two other people were wounded, but their names have not been released.

The gunman fled the scene and is still being sought by Aurora police.

Police said the shooting started as a fistfight between two women inside the Montview Bar & Grill at Montview Boulevard and Nome Street, according to Aurora police.

After the fight, one of the women involved left the bar with two men. As the three drove away in a truck, a man came out of the bar and began shooting at the truck, hitting all three occupants.

A women was still in the hospital Thursday, but the other person in the truck has been released, police said.

More than a dozen people witnesses were interviewed by police, said Aurora police spokesman Bob Friel.
