A motorcyclist was seriously injured last night when a Range Rover rear-ended him on E-470.

The accident happened at 11:41 p.m. The motorcycle, a red and black Kawasaki, was eastbound when the black 2005 Range Rover LR3 hit it from behind, the Colorado State Patrol said in a news release.

The bike spun around and dropped, throwing the driver, a 19-year-old Parker man. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Range Rover was not injured and fled the scene, authorities said. The SUV was later found at the Aurora home of the driver, Angela K. Deslongchamp, 36.

Charges are pending, the release said, and alcohol and speed are both thought to be contributing factors.
