Today is the last day of the 8th annual Breckenridge Main Street Art Festival. The festival features more than 120 artisans from around the United States and the world, presenting their work in sculpture, photography, painting, glass, ceramics, bronze and mixed media. The seventh annual Craft Lager Festival will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Aug. 8 and 9 at Memorial Park in Manitou Springs. More than 30 brewers from around the country will participate. Also included for the first time is Michelob Brewing Co. Other participating brewers are: Samuel Adams; Arctic Craft Brewing; Carver’s Brewing; CB and Pott’s; Big Horn; Full Sail; Kona Brewing; Maui Brewing; Rock Bottom; Il Vicino; Tommyknocker; Good Old Boys Brewing Co-Op; Phantom Canyon, New Belgium; Flying Dog; Left Hand Brewing; and San Luis Valley Brewing. There also will be live music and free soft drinks for designated drivers. .
Rhythms on the Rio fest
The fourth annual Rhythms on the Rio Festival, a free two- day music festival, will be Aug. 22 and 23 on the grassy banks of the Rio Grande River in South Fork. Featured acts include the Nershi-Law Trio and Friends, Darol Anger, Drew Emmitt, Great American Taxi, the Susan Gibson Band, the Pete Kartsounes Band, Palmas and many others.
