COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jason Garey scored in second-half stoppage time as the Columbus Crew set an MLS record by extending its home unbeaten streak to 19 matches with a 3-2 victory over Toronto FC on Saturday night.

Columbus overcame a 2-1 deficit to improve to 13-0-6 at Crew Stadium since a 2-0 loss to the San Jose Earthquakes on June 7, 2008. The Earthquakes held the previous mark of 18, spanning the 2004 and 2005 seasons.

Steven Lenhart tied the game in the 76th minute for Columbus, and Eddie Gaven also scored.

Ali Gerba and Dwayne De Rosario scored for Toronto FC.

HOUSTON — Kheli Dube scored in the 76th minute as New England handed Houston its first home loss of the season.

Steve Ralston took a pass on the upper right box from Kevin Alston and forced Houston goalkeeper Pat Onstad off his line before feeding Dube in front of an empty net.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — David Beckham earned his first assist since returning to Los Angeles, setting up Landon Donovan’s first-half equalizer.

Beckham fed the ball through the middle to Donovan, who made a 10-yard run before launching a low shot past Kevin Hartman.
