
Free health seminars in Wheat Ridge
Lost and Found Inc., a mental-health care provider for at-risk kids and their families, launches a wellness series at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Family Counseling Center, 6700 W. 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge. The first seminar will introduce the idea of taking charge of one’s health and teach attendees about the metabolic connection to mental and physical problems. Also, starting Sept. 8, the nonprofit will offer walk- in counseling for people struggling with the economic downturn and resulting mental, emotional, behavioral and relational issues, $30 per session. 303-420-8080 ext. 1203,
It’s a play, it’s a hike!
Theatre-Hikes premieres “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” on Saturday at Chautauqua Park in Boulder. Audience members, along with two actors, hike from scene to scene through the Chautauqua lawn. Hikes are moderate and are suitable for children, and the play is less than two hours long. Walk-up ticket sales Saturday are buy-one-get-one-free from noon to 3 p.m. Adults $10; children under 12, $5.
