The U.S. Attorney’s office in Denver today announced child pornography charges against 52-year-old substitute teacher from Colorado Springs.

Kyle Gregory Speed was indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of transportation and possession of child pornography.

The indictment states Speed used his computer to transmit two video files depicting children engaged in sexual intercourse.

The seven-count indictment also alleges he owned three computers dating back to 1995 that contained child pornography, as well as a “thumb drive” storage device that held child pornography.

Speed faces a minimum of five years in federal prison if convicted on the two charges of “transporting” child pornography across state lines via his computer. He faces fines of up to $250,000 on those charges and four of the five remaining charges.
