LAKEWOOD, Colo.—Firefighters say one person was found dead in the rubble of a burned home in the Denver suburb of Lakewood.
The West Metro Fire District says firefighters found the body in an area where the roof had collapsed after the Tuesday night fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
Firefighters rescued two dogs from the fire. One was transported to an animal hospital.
