SANTA MONICA, Calif. — MySpace is starting an e-mail service in one of the first moves under a new executive team at News Corp.’s social-networking site.
The service will be online “within the next couple of weeks,” MySpace said Thursday in an e-mailed release. MySpace has 130 million users, the company said.
The service is one of the first features added to the social-networking site under new chief executive Owen Van Natta, the former Facebook Inc. executive hired in April. The e-mail feature will be added to users’ existing MySpace profiles, the company said.
