TRENTON, N.J. — A northern New Jersey mayor who was arrested on federal corruption charges after just three weeks in office is expected to resign soon, Gov. Jon Corzine said Thursday.
Hoboken Mayor Peter Cammarano III, a 32-year-old rising star in the Democratic Party, was charged last week with accepting bribes from an informant with the Federal Bureau of Investigation posing as a real-estate developer.
