DENVER—In a July 30 story, The Associated Press reported that Colorado health department officials said they have no plans to add the swine flu vaccine to a list of recommended shots for students. Dr. Ned Calonge, the department’s chief medical officer, said officials have no plans to recommend adding the swine flu shot to a state list of required immunizations for school children, but plan to recommend swine flu shots for students if a safe, effective vaccine is available.
