Sunday. Athletes of all ages and abilities are invited to Step Up For Cancer, a fund- and awareness-raising event at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Waves of participants will run the stairs in the stadium while live bands play and organizations in the “Community Villages” dispense information. Here’s the rub: You don’t have to run all the stairs. You can do just one symbolic step and call it a day. 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday. The Wildcats take to the stage again in Rocky Mountain Theatre for Kids’ production of “High School Musical 2.” Starring RMTK’s summer students, the show is based on the hit movie: It’s summer break, and the East High kids are working at a local country club.
