ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—Two of the seven Burt car dealerships in the Denver area will have new names—and owners—starting Monday.
Burt Subaru and Burt Toyota in Englewood, part of the company known in the metro area for 70 years, have been sold to the Summit Automotive Partners. Summit owns 30 other dealerships across the country, including one in Glenwood Springs and one in Silverthorne.
The dealerships will open Monday morning under the new names of Groove Subaru and Groove Toyota.
Rod Buscher is chief executive and president of Summit Automotive Partners. He is a former partner in the John Elway Dealerships, which were sold in 1998 to AutoNation.
Buscher is a partner with George Gillett, owner of the Montreal Canadiens, a NASCAR team and England’s Liverpool Football club.
