After being told he needed to do a little more conditioning work before he could participate in practice, Broncos star Champ Bailey, left, didn’t wait long to show he was ready to go after spending Friday on the sidelines. In team drills and Bailey 1-on-1 with wide receiver Brandon Marshall, it appeared Marshall had about two strides on the veteran cornerback on a route through the deep middle of the field. However, Kyle Orton’s pass was slightly underthrown and Bailey also quickly made up the ground in a classic bait-the-quarterback move to knock the pass away. “Definitely, I saw him looking, looking, waiting for everybody to clear. I don’t think he saw me or he thought he could make it,” Bailey said.
