LOS ANGELES — Heath Ledger’s latest directorial work has been released. The music video he directed for “King Rat” by Modest Mouse debuted online Tuesday.
The six-minute, animated video — in which he sought to raise awareness of illegal commercial- whaling practices — depicts whales and dolphins aboard a ship, fishing for humans. It concludes with the message: “This began with our friend, a great defender of life, and was completed in his spirit.”
Ledger died last year of a drug overdose at 28.
