A man died after being gunned down in a Denver alley early this morning.
The victim, who was not identified, was shot at about 2:45 a.m. in the 1400 block alley between Ogden and Emerson streets, Denver police said in a media release.
The man, who was shot once, was taken to Denver Health Medical Center, where he died.
Officers responding to the shooting received a description of a suspect and suspect vehicle from witnesses, police said.
The suspect, 26-year-old Charles Garlick, was taken into custody at West Colfax Avenue and Delaware Street.
Garlick is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder, police said.
A motive in the shooting was not released.
