Sam Martin hopes to held rebuild the Colorado State women’s basketball program. The 6-foot-2 forward and senior-to-be at Chaparral High School in Parker committed verbally to the Rams earlier this summer.

“I really like everything about it,” said Martin, who was a Class 5A second team all-state selection last season by The Denver Post, was an all-Continental League pick and averaged 18.8 points per game.

Martin, who plans to major in education, is currently rehabilitating her left knee following surgery. She’s expected back for coach Tony Speights’ Wolverines for game action after Christmas.
