Rockin’ the park
The effort to restore and enhance Civic Center, one of Denver’s neglected treasures, got a lot of attention Saturday night when actor Gary Sinise (“Forrest Gump,” “CSI New York”) and his Lt. Fiesta time
Food and drink with a south-of-the-border flair was but one of the attractions at Salt on the Rim, the annual fiesta benefiting the Kempe Children’s Foundation and its work on behalf of abused and neglected youngsters. The event, hosted by Jim and Pamela Crowe, also included live and silent auctions and music by the 17th Avenue All-Stars.
