GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Interior Secretary Ken Salazar will dedicate a new national conservation area and wilderness area in western Colorado.
The ceremony will be Wednesday near Grand Junction.
Salazar, a U.S. senator from Colorado until he became interior secretary, will dedicate the Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area and the Dominguez Canyon Wilderness Area.
President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit Grand Junction Saturday as part of a Western trip with his family.
