BOULDER, Colo.—Convicted child abuser Alex Midyette won’t serve any further time for a bond violation.
A Boulder district judge on Monday gave Midyette credit for time served. That means the man already serving 16 years in the 2006 death of his baby son Jason won’t see additional time added to his sentence. The bond violation would have added 153 days.
The violation came when Midyette was arrested on a charge of violating the terms of his bond, which required him to stay away from most children.
The 30-year-old is serving his sentence in the Fort Lyon Correctional Facility in southeast Colorado.
