BOULDER — Boulder teachers finish voting today on a tentative labor agreement for the 2009-10 school year while their union urges them to reject the offer.
Results will be revealed Wednesday.
The union that represents Boulder Valley School District’s 1,800 teachers is dissatisfied that the proposal offers no permanent raise and instead a one-time bonus equal to a 1 percent increase.
The district says it cannot offer cost-of-living raises because of financial constraints.School starts will not be affected and teachers will continue to work under the 2008-09 contract until an agreement is reached.
