A driver going the wrong way on Interstate 25 was killed Monday night and caused a 10-vehicle pileup that closed the northbound lanes for hours.
Police said the driver of a Jeep Liberty was traveling south in the northbound lanes at 7:10 p.m. The sport utility vehicle hit a Ford F-150 north of 104th Avenue and then struck several other cars.
Three other people were taken to local hospitals, but their conditions were not immediately available. The driver was not identified, pending notification of next of kin.
