ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—New Denver Broncos defensive end Le Kevin Smith is getting up to speed quickly after the team acquired him from New England on Monday.
Smith says it’s been a bit of a whirlwind.
The Broncos sent a fifth-round pick to the Patriots for the 6-foot-3, 308-pound Smith to give them more athleticism and versatility in their switch to the 3-4 defensive scheme.
Smith says defensive line coach Wayne Nuggely and defensive coordinator Mike Nolan are giving him time to get things down.
