CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Internal-affairs files show that a white police sergeant whose arrest of a black professor ignited a national furor was twice before accused of racial bias but cleared in both cases.
The files on Cambridge Sgt. James Crowley were released Wednesday in response to requests by The Boston Globe and the Boston Herald.
