Centennial city offices will open at 10 a.m. Thursday after a traffic accident led to a pickup truck plunging into the Centennial Civic Center building.

The truck was involved in a three-car crash at 7:15 p.m. on Arapahoe Road at Revere Parkway, according to the city.

After colliding with two cars, the pickup traveled about 200 yards across an open field at an estimated 40 mph before smashing the west side of the city building.

The driver, who has not yet been identified, was taken to Swedish Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department.

Another person in one of the two other vehicles had minor injuries, said Sgt. T. Stewart.

The driver of the truck has not been charged, while the investigation continues, Stewart said.

The crash led to water damage in first-floor offices, Municipal Court and City Council chambers, a city spokeswoman said in a statement.
