Northbound lanes of Interstate 25 are closed from South Downing Street to West Colfax Avenue because of a collision that has killed a motorcycle rider, said Denver police.
The interstate is expected to be closed for hours to allow police to investigate, but should be open for the morning rush hour, said Denver police spokeswoman Vicki Ferrari.
Southbound lanes are open, but Santa Fe Boulevard near I-25 is closed in both directions.
No details of the crash near Alameda Avenue were released this evening.
The Denver Police Department corrected information regarding this accident. Initially officials said the accident involved a motorcycle and a vehicle. It was a pedestrian and a vehicle.
