The first of three new student residences opened last week week at Colorado State University-Pueblo.

Crestone Hall, designed by the Denver architecture firm Carvell PageSoutherlandPage, is the first new residence hall to be built on the campus since 1965, when Belmont Hall was completed.

The building can house up to 253 students. Amenities include wireless connectivity, a warming kitchen, a multi- media classroom, business office/control and check-in desk, conference room, central laundry, postal and flex-program spaces.

When complete, the student village will have 750 beds and about 45,000 square feet of common area, including multi- media classrooms, game and recreation areas, a cyber cafe and computer labs, group study and conference rooms, laundry areas, a bistro and a neighboring recreational field.
