Guanella Pass Road in Clear Creek County will be closed between Georgetown and the Clear Lake Campground until further notice, the U.S. Forest Service announced Friday.
The Forest Service said it was concerned that rocks could fall across the road, also called County Road 381, because heavy summer rain has made it unstable.
The Guanella Pass summit can still be accessed through Grant from U.S. 285, but access is only to the summit and the road cannot be traveled through to Georgetown.
