A construction worker received multiple injuries in an accident early today at the Anthem Ranch community west of Interstate 25 in Broomfield County.
North Metro Fire Rescue said in a news release that firefighter-paramedics treated the injured man at a construction site near Anthem Ranch Road and Belford Circle at 7:19 a.m.
He had been standing on a ladder disassembling a temporary metal rack that holds lumber when the rack came apart.
The man fell off the ladder, up to 6 feet, and the rack landed on top of him, the release said.
A helicopter took the man to St. Anthony Central Hospital with nonlife threatening injuries.
