BRECKENRIDGE, Colo.—Authorities say a cardiac arrest appears to be the cause of death for a Wyoming man who died while hiking Quandary Peak in central Colorado.

Authorities identified the hiker as 44-year-old Kevin Joseph Gill of Cheyenne, Wyo. He died Friday morning after collapsing just below the 14,265-foot summit.

Gill was co-owner of the Gill Window Co. An investigation is planned into his death.
