1. Greeley West: The Spartans have the biggest collection of returning all-state talent.
2. Wheat Ridge: Riding a 14-game winning streak, the Farmers won’t be an easy out.
3. Monarch: The linebackers anchor a nasty defense, and both lines will be solid, which is usually all the Coyotes need.
4. Heritage: Last year’s preseason No. 1 didn’t make it past the quarterfinals. But Heritage still has loads of talent.
5. Loveland: With 17 returning starters, the Indians are scary.
6. Montrose: Just 10 returning starters, but plenty of star power at skill positions.
7. Littleton: Talented QB, dominant running back and 16 returning starters.
8. Fountain-Fort Carson: Defense will be the difference between very good and great.
9. Pine Creek: The team’s offensive line is a big question mark.
10. Pueblo West: The Cyclones look like the southern power.
