MIAMI — Pilots for Miami air-cargo carrier Amerijet International have gone on strike, saying their employer forces them to fly long shifts on little sleep and deprives them of bathrooms.

Sixty-two flight-crew employees began their strike Aug. 27. Their union says when the employees have to use the rest room, they’re forced to defecate into a bag in the cargo hold, directly beside the food and other goods they’re transporting. The Associated Press
