A man has been rushed to the hospital after a drive-by shooting in Denver this afternoon.
The shooting happened at about 1:30 p.m. on East 33rd Avenue, between Hudson and Holly streets, said Vicki Ferrari, a Denver Police Department spokeswoman.
Police are looking for a small, green, car from which multiple shots were fired, Ferrari said.
The shooting happened near Skyland Park. The victim was standing on East 33rd Avenue.
Details on the condition of the victim, who was taken to Denver Health Medical Center, were not available.
It was the second shooting in less than a day in Denver. Last night, a man was shot in the chest as he sat on the front porch of a Denver home about 3 miles to the southwest of today’s shooting.
Wednesday’s shooting happened at about 9:55 p.m. in the 2300 block of High Street, Ferrari said.
The shooter walked up to the porch and shot the victim “multiple times.”
The gunman Wednesday night fled on foot and remains at large, police said.
The victim was taken to Denver Health Medical Center and is expected to survive the attack, Ferrari said.
Police have not said whether the shootings are connected.
