A man in Aurora who needed CPR after he was shocked with a police Taser on Thursday has been identified as 38-year-old Shane Ledbetter.

Ledbetter was identified by his fingerprints, police said, and there are several felony warrants for his arrest.

Police originally went to a home in the 4000 block of South Mission Parkway Thursday to arrest Markus Alec Gabel, 19, who was wanted on several warrants.

As they arrested Gabel and began to question another man at the home, a man now identified as Ledbetter bolted, police said. An officer caught him in a canal, where a struggle ensued.

The officer sustained a back injury.

Both were hospitalized. The officer is at home on medical leave.
