BOULDER — Colorado sophomore quarterback Tyler Hansen said Monday that he plans to redshirt this season.

“It’s something me and Kees (offensive coordinator Eric Kiesau) agreed upon,” said Hansen, who burned a redshirt at midseason in 2008.

Hansen said he would give up the redshirt again if starter Cody Hawkins gets injured.
