The Colorado Wildlife Commission will establish final framework for the 2010-14 big- game season structure at its meeting Thursday in Colorado Springs. The 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. event will be at the Crowne Palace Hotel, 2886 S. Circle Dr.
The policy board also will consider limiting elk licenses in three Gunnison-area units and set mountain lion harvest quotas for the 2009-10 season. That final framework will set limits for deer, elk, pronghorn and bear.
The controversial decision for limiting elk licenses in the Gunnison Basin concerns units 54, 55 and 551 north of town.
Public comment will be accepted from those who submit a special blue sheet that contains a request to speak.
