Utah researchers have found a mouse-cancer virus in many human patients with prostate cancer, suggesting that the virus may play a role in the onset of the disease and the development of more aggressive forms. If the findings can be validated, it might provide a way to pinpoint fast-growing tumors that require therapy. The data were reported Monday in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
