United Airlines will join other major U.S. carriers in imposing fees on second bags checked on international flights. The first bag remains free. The second-bag fee for economy-class travelers will be $50 at the airport, and $45 with online check-in, to destinations in Europe, including Russia. For Mexico and the Caribbean, the economy-class second-bag fee is $30 at the airport and $27 online.
